The variety of local products from Vöran

Aromatic wild and garden herbs, fresh fruit, organic free-range eggs, cheese, quality meat, natural honey: there is probably no other place where the variety of local products - and the density of local producers - is greater than in Vöran.

Quality, sustainability, real enjoyment - this is what has always been valued here, on the sunny high plateaus of the Tschögglberg. Accordingly, what is cultivated with great care on the farms and prepared with great dedication by the restaurants is of great value.

In the following we would like to introduce you (in alphabetical order) to the producers based in Vöran. They manage their farms and businesses with the utmost care and in harmony with nature.

Honey from Gabriel Aster
Honey has been known in various cultures for thousands of years. From the earliest times, honey and bee products were used and exploited in many different ways: Wax, pollen, propolis, bee venom and royal jelly. Just like honey, they have a unique composition and correspondingly different spectrums of action. Gabriel Aster has been an enthusiastic beekeeper for years and carefully produces different types of honey as well as honey products.

Anyone who visits them on their farm can learn from their extensive knowledge of herbs, find out a great deal about the edibility and healing properties of the plants and, last but not least, feel their deep connection to nature. Pasture-raised meat from the Gatscherhof
Every year, the grazing cattle of the Gatscherhof can feast on spicy herbs and fresh mountain grasses for an entire summer in the alpine pastures. Only then do they return to the spacious loose housing, where they are again fed with natural hay. Neither silage nor grain mixtures are used. The resulting extremely tasty meat of the Angus young cattle from suckler cow husbandry is processed into ready-to-cook packages and sold.
