Dominic Deville has written a book about his years as a nursery school teacher.
Entitled: From the everyday life of a fearless pedagogue. These experiences are naturally also a topic in his new stage programme. After seven years of late-night shows on SRF 1 television, the cabaret artist has been drawn back to the stage. Deville seeks answers from ‘OFF!’, so to speak, to questions that he never dared to ask in front of the television cameras: When does the common recorder publicly distance itself from National Socialism? And the question of why pre-school children can drive the nursery school teacher mad, and then not even dangerous-looking wolf gloves help, is also answered. Unashamed, charming and quick-tempered, Deville wraps his audience round his finger with original, snotty malice. Deville received the ‘Salzburger Stier’ radio cabaret prize for ‘OFF!’ in 2023.
