Kafkas Reise durch die bucklige Welt

Book presentation & reading with the author Bernhard Setzwein. Entry fee: € 10,-

To mark the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka's death, Bernhard Setzwein's novel ‘Kafka's Journey through the Humpbacked World’ stands out in particular. In this literary fiction, Kafka has not died, but lives on unrecognised as a ticket collector in Merano until an encounter with the Polish author Marek Hłasko changes his life. Together they set off on an adventurous journey through the Humpbacked World, which brings Kafka's past back to life. The book was awarded the ‘Bavaria's Best Independent Books 2024’ prize.
