Trauttmansdorff After Hours

Extended hours on Fridays in June, July and August: balmy summer evenings at a discounted evening rate.

Ideal for a romantic night out or a group of friends. The Trauttmansdorff After Hours event series offers culinary and musical delights in combination with a chance to learn some intriguing botanical facts.

Enjoy local specialties served at Schlossgarten Restaurant, set against the spectacular backdrop of the gardens.The Palm Café at the Lily Pond offers a laid-back atmosphere and fun cocktails with live music (from 20st June). In case you want to learn more about the Gardens, you can take part in a guided tour, where the soft light of evening reveals new facets of the Gardens.

The Touriseum, located inside the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, stays open until 09:00 PM and invites you on an intriguing journey through 250 years of Alpine tourism history.

On 6th and 13th June Trauttmansdorff after hours will be held without live music. The restaurant and café as well as the Touriseum are open. The evening guided tour in german language starts at 6.30 PM and the italian version starts at 7.00 PM.

Approach

Bus numbers 1, 1B (Trauttmansdorff) and 4 (Maia Alta/Obermais) depart at 20-minute intervals from the Merano/Meran town centre as well as the central railway station.

Almost all of the paths running through the gardens are wheelchair and stroller friendly; all stairs and grades over 8% are marked on the overview map. In the Visitors’ Center, manual and electric-powered wheelchairs are available for visitors, free of charge.
