Traveling Respectfully in Schenna

Our cultural treasures tell stories of times past and shape the unique charm of Schenna. To ensure that future generations can also experience these special places, we kindly ask for mindful and respectful behavior. Here you will find valuable tips for a responsible visit to our cultural sites.
Mindful at Schenna’s cultural sites
To preserve our cultural heritage and ensure your safety, please follow these guidelines:
Opening hours
Most cultural sites in Schenna – including museums, churches, and castles – are accessible to you during the specified opening hours.
Bicycles
Please do not lean your bicycle against historic buildings, fountains, or cultural heritage sites.
Instructions from the staff
Please follow the instructions of the staff or authorized personnel.
Liability
Liability for damages is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Eating & Smoking
Eating, drinking, and smoking are not permitted in museums, churches, and castles.
Children and groups
Please supervise your children – parents are responsible for their children. Running and pushing are not allowed!
Supervisors of children's groups or school classes are asked to ensure appropriate behavior of the children.
Photography and filming
When visiting cultural sites, please follow the local photography regulations. Photography is not always allowed, and commercial recordings often require a permit. The use of drones is generally prohibited. Get informed in advance and be considerate!
Respect for Private Property & Nature
Respect private property, boundaries, and fences. Entering meadows with tall grass, cultivated fields, or other agricultural areas is not allowed.
Safety & Movement
Entering cultural sites is at your own risk. Watch out for uneven surfaces and wear sturdy footwear.
Behavior on Railings & Walls
Please do not lean over railings or balustrades and do not climb on walls. Touching exhibits is also prohibited.
Emergencies & Escape Routes
Familiarize yourself with the escape routes during your visit. Evacuation plans provide information on the locations of fire extinguishers and the procedures to follow in case of fire or emergency.
In case of an alarm: stay calm, leave the building quickly, and proceed to the assembly point.

Dogs
Dogs are not allowed in churches and at Schenna Castle.
