The Ötztaler Radmarathon cycling marathon is a world championship for amateur cyclists. Every year in August, hundreds of bikers undertake this challenge high in the Alps. The circuit leads clockwise from Sölden to Brenner/ Brennero, via the Jaufenpass and the Timmelsjoch mountain passes, and back to the starting point. Cyclists must overcome four passes across two countries, covering around 240 km in total.
In order to prepare for the Ötztaler Radmarathon cycling marathon, a stay in St. Leonhard/ S. Leonardo in the Passeiertal Valley is ideal – especially in spring. The demanding exercise route is located practically on the doorstep.
