Hiking in the Passeiertal Valley is suitable for the entire family, as the valley boasts a dense network of hiking trails. The routes go as high up as 3,480m a.s.l.. More leisurely hikers can stroll along the Waalwege trails – the paths along ancient irrigation channels – across the low mountains and reach mountain pastures and traditional mountain huts via cable car.
Cross-border long-distance trails, guided walks and themed trails provide variety; a particular highlight for families is the trail through the Passerschlucht gorge. For experienced mountaineers, winter holidays in the Passeiertal Valley offer varied summit tours in the Sarntal Alps and Oetztal Alps in the Texelgruppe Nature Park.
