Music holds a firm place in the everyday life of Partschins. The Partschins Music Band was founded in 1818 by Franz Ferdinand Ritter von und zu Goldegg.
Thanks to his great patronage, the Partschins band is the oldest in the Burggrafenamt region (Merano and environs).
Today, the band has over 50 active members – including many young musicians – and provides musical accompaniment to religious festivals, secular celebrations, and cultural events throughout the year. Their repertoire ranges from traditional brass band music and classic marches to modern arrangements.
A special highlight are the summer concerts held in the Widum garden in Partschins and on the church square in Rabland. Here, the musicians invite people to listen every week and delight the audience with a varied program of traditional and modern pieces – always played with passion and a deep connection to their homeland.
Through their dedication to youth work and the promotion of young talent, the Partschins Music Band not only ensures its musical future but also strengthens the village’s sense of community.
