The Duo Zampini Oliva, founded at the Conservatorio Cherubini in Florence, where both soloists worked as teachers for their instrument, has been active since 2022 and can look back on hundreds of concerts throughout Italy and abroad. Particularly noteworthy is their commitment to the Suites by Claude Bolling, which they perform as a duo, trio and quartet.
Primo Oliva is also a composer and an honorary member of New York University. Paolo Zampini, former director of the Conservatorio Cherubini in Florence, was one of maestro Ennio Morricone's favourite soloists for 35 years.
The works of Morricone and Bolling are therefore a must in a concert with an evocative character, complemented by the elegant touch of French jazz.
