There are films in the history of cinema that mark a decisive turning point and remain immortal. To the last breath is one of them. Considered the manifesto of the Nouvelle Vague, born from a subject by François Truffaut, it brought into play all the cinephile passion of the Cahiers di cinéma critics who had gone behind the camera and their rebellion against rules and tradition. Jean-Paul Belmondo, with hat on his head, cigarette and sunglasses is already an icon as is Jean Seberg in a white T-shirt with the words “New York Herald Tribune” and copies of the newspaper in his hand. Their image can be immortalised in a film, in a photo, in a painting, narrated in a book, be the focus of a song. That is why viewing "Fino all’ultimo respiro" of has the same effect as when one goes to see a Picasso exhibition again.
