Rock climbing and in the climbing gym

In Schenna, both beginners and experienced climbers can choose from different climbing environments. Options include the red porphyry rock faces, the high rope courses of the area, and different indoor or outdoor climbing gyms. Beginners can start on the Burgstallknott gneis wall in Partschins. More experienced climbers can train at the Fragsburg Rock Gym above Meran and at the Saustall Rock Gym in Naturns.

The Heini Holzer Via Ferrata Ifinger is a true haven for climbing enthusiasts and nature lovers. Named after the renowned South Tyrolean mountaineer Heini Holzer, this breathtaking via ferrata offers an unparalleled adventure amidst the stunning mountain landscape of Schenna.

The Meran Mountaineering School (Bergsteigerschule Meran) organizes climbing courses for adults and children at the Fragsburg Rock Gym. In the event of bad weather, the Rockarena indoor gym in Gampenstraße in Meran is an alternative venue.
