The Texel Group Nature Park extends over parts of eight local council areas including Moos/Moso in the Passeiertal/Passirio valley, Schnalstal/Senales, Riffian/Riffiano, Naturns/Naturno, Algund/Lagundo, St. Martin im Passeier/ St. Martin in Passirio, Tirol/Tirolo and
Partschins/Parcines which, with its
3,380 hectare park area, is the third largest section. The park includes the entire Texel Mountain Group, the high mountain area which extends from the Senales valley in the west to the Passirio valley in the east, as well as parts of the Stubai and Ötztal valley Alps with the Senales and Gurgler Kamm.
The
Merano High Path is 100 km. in length and runs all around the sides of the entire Texel Mountain Group.
The Texel Group Nature Park is known for its thick pine woods, sun-lit meadows, high moorland, lonely Alpine pastures and little farms, steep rock faces, tumbling streams, crystal-clear lakes and imposing mountain peaks.
The awesome Parcines Waterfall and the Sopranes valley lakes, the highest Alpine lakes in Europe, help refresh and revitalise body and soul!
