Naturns is a
hiking area suitable for the
entire family. Hiking in Naturns is comfortably accessible by the
cable car Unterstell or hiking taxi, where a number of varied trails extend through the
Texel Group Nature Park or along the
Sonnenberg and Nörderberg.
Hiking in Naturns is as varied as the surrounding landscape. Here, three completely different hiking areas can be found: in the valley, wide paths wind through the apple orchards and meadows; the
irrigation channels (Waalwege) stretch along the slopes of the Sonnenberg in the valley basin; alongside these, there are also challenging high mountain hikes
towards the peaks of the Texel Group, at over 3,000 meters in altitude. Among the most popular trails in Naturns is the
Merano High Trail. The trail can be divided into several daily stages, depending on physical condition and available time. To complete the entire route, hikers should take about 5-7 days into consideration.
