The viewing platform on the Gsindboden offers a wonderful view over the orchards and vineyards in the valley, the mountain farms on the Sonnenberg and up to the glacier world of the rear Schnals Valley. Information boards inform hikers about the cultural history of the lower Vinschgau Valley, the discovery of "Ötzi"; and life in the vineyards, apple orchards and perpetual ice.
The ideal starting point for this circular route is the village of Tschirland, which can be reached from Naturno by bus 261. From there, follow the signs and walk along an asphalt road, lined with beautiful meadows and orchards, to the Waldschenke. Now the path climbs moderately through the shady forest to the tunnel of a quarry, past an idyllic resting place to the Gsindboden, from where you can enjoy a unique panoramic view. Through mixed forest we descend again to the Tschirlander Heide, where we can admire numerous extraordinary plants and flowers. A little later we reach the starting point. From Tschirland again by bus back to the centre of the village or on foot along the road to the bridge over the Adige river and from there along the Etschdammweg and the Bahnhofstraße (walking time additionally approx. 0. 45 h).
