The waterfalls in Merano/Meran and the surrounding areas in South Tyrol/Südtirol are impressive natural spectacles. The largest waterfall in South Tyrol is the Parcines waterfall. From a height of 100m, water crashes down over a freestanding cliff into the wide valley below.
Additional relaxing walks lead to the Fragsburger waterfall near the spa town of Merano, the Brandis waterfall in Lana, the Kalmtaler waterfall in the village of Saltusio/Saltaus and the Stieber waterfall in Moso/Moos in Val Passiria/Passeiertal Valley.
