🐑🏔️ Transhumance in the Schnalstal Valley – a living tradition
When the sheep return from their summer pastures to the Schnalstal Valley, a centuries-old tradition comes to life.🐑✨ Transhumance is much more than an impressive sheep drive – it is a living part of the region’s cultural heritage and history.
This year, the return of the flocks will once again be celebrated with traditional shepherds’ festivals featuring music, local specialities and genuine South Tyrolean hospitality. 🎶🍻
📍 Saturday, 12 September 2026 – Vernagt
