Ready to try your hand at one of South Tyrol’s most iconic dishes? In our dumpling cooking class in Marling, you’ll learn how to prepare traditional South Tyrolean “Knödel” – whether with speck, cheese or spinach – using simple, regional ingredients.

Led by local hosts or chefs, you’ll get a glimpse into authentic South Tyrolean cooking traditions, from soaking the bread to shaping and gently simmering your dumplings to perfection. Along the way, you'll hear stories and tips about the cultural importance of this beloved Alpine dish.

And of course – after the work comes the reward: sharing and tasting your own homemade dumplings!

This cooking class is perfect for individuals, couples, friends or families looking for a tasty and unforgettable holiday memory.

Dumpling cookery course with farmer’s wife Elisabeth

Immerse yourself in the world of traditional South Tyrolean cuisine with our expert farmer’s wife, Elisabeth!

Discover the delicious variety of dumplings: bacon dumplings, cheese dumplings, vegetable dumplings and as a sweet finale, a delightful dessert dumpling – lovingly and with a lot of experience prepared by and with Elisabeth.

In this cooking course, Elisabeth will guide you step by step through the traditional preparation of South Tyrolean dumplings. Afterwards, you will enjoy the freshly prepared delicacies together over a convivial lunch. To ensure your dumplings turn out perfectly at home, you’ll also receive the recipes and expert tips from Elisabeth to take with you.

We invite you to learn how to prepare a signature South Tyrolean specialty – an experience not to be missed!

Registration required: Until Wednesday at 12 noon online or at the Tourist Association Marling.The event takes place in German / Italian. Limited number of participants.
Approach
Parking: Large public parking lot (2h free parking thereafter 0,50€ per hour).
Arrival by public transport: Bus line 212 (every 30 minutes) from Merano or by train: Venosta / Vinschgau line (station approximately 1 km away).
Storno
Your registration is binding. Cancellations and refunds are possible up to 48 hours before the start of the event. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the event will be cancelled free of charge. In this case, we will inform you by 6 p.m. the day before at the latest.
