There is much to learn and many interesting facts to discover along the
Kastanienerlebnisweg chestnut
trail in Foiana/Völlan. The educational trail along the
Marlinger Waalweg trail and a visit to the
Falschauer biotope are among the more adventurous itineraries for children.
Unicorns and forest spirits, in brightly colored woolen dyes, line the Filzkunstwanderweg
felt-making route in Tesimo/Tisens. The flat family hike along the Lana
Skulpturenwanderweg sculpture trail is suitable for prams and strollers, connecting the Ländpromenade walk to the Brandis Waalweg trail. While the
Kränzelhof – Seven Gardens labyrinth in Cermes/Tscherms amuses the kids, the walk across the
Gaulschlucht gorge over suspension bridges is not for the faint-hearted.
Adventure trails
There are numerous adventure trails for families in Lana and its surroundings: e. g. the "Chestnut adventure trail", the "International hiking trail with felt art" or the nature trail along the irrigation channels of Marlengo. These trails are only moderately steep and accessible to everybody. Many walking and hiking trails in the villages are also adequate for prams and buggies, e. g. the forest trail into the Gola Canyon, the Brandiswaalweg (along irrigation channels) and the Ländpromenade. If your kids are eager to learn about nature, we recommend an excursion to the biotope, where amphibians, dragon flies, fish, frogs and ducks live along with numerous species of birds.
Kids' summer programme
In the framework of the kids' summer programme our little guests have the opportunity to enjoy afternoons full of activities and fun, while Mom and Dad enjoy an afternoon to themselves. Open-air adventure and knights games, crafts, pony and lama riding as well as camp fires and torchlight processions await the children. They are cared for by experienced holiday reps who accompany the little explorers and adventurers on children's rafting trips and expeditions.
Hiking
If you are looking for a relaxed hiking experience with your kids, don't miss the family hiking area on the
S. Vigilio Mountain pass. In just 7 minutes the funicular brings you from Lana up to the car-free mountain with its hiking trails and larch forests. Even if a rainy day surprises you during your holiday, there are a number of possibilities to enjoy your free time. Lana and its surroundings feature various museums, maze gardens and wine taverns as well as petting zoos and "Indian reservations".
