Chestnut days in Tisens-Prissian, Völlan and Lana

Autumn will be hot again
For 27 years now, Tisens-Prissian, Völlan and Lana have been putting their delicious "Keschtn" in the spotlight from mid-October to early November. The "Keschtnriggl" offers chestnut cuisine combined with South Tyrolean customs, culture and entertainment.
In the Tisner low mountain range the sweet chestnut has always been part of the landscape and culture of life. In the Middle Ages the starchy nut was a staple food. And even today it is impossible to imagine South Tyrolean cuisine without this noble rarity. In the inns and wine taverns everything revolves around this aromatic autumn fruit during chestnut season. Old chestnut recipes are brought out and interpreted in a contemporary way.
This year the autumnal series of events is accompanied by programmes such as hikes, culinary highlights and much more.
