Transart24 - Metamophismus

The series of performances is part of the public programme of the exhibition La Linea Insubrica (The Insubric Line) at Kunst Merano Arte, which brings together 11 artists to speculate on the image of this geo-structure, which emerged as a result of the collision of the European and African tectonic plates, which also runs through the city of Merano. The exhibition title refers to a method of studying rocks that critically opposes the idea that they always remain unchanged. The performances by The School of Mutants, Betty Tchomanga and Alessandra Ferrini are proposed, in a metaphorical sense, as practices that analyze "the history and present of rocks" with the idea that it can be fluidized and “de-essentialized."
