The Music of Essence

The duo, consisting of Sardinians Marco Ligas (violin) and Stefano Mancuso (piano), is one of the best known on the Sardinian music scene. The two artists have worked intensively over the years to refine their repertoire, which offers an impressive variety of chamber music pieces. Violin and piano are, after all, the instruments to which composers have dedicated the most important works of chamber music over the centuries. This concert features works by two of the greatest composers of all time: L. van Beethoven and J. Brahms, who made an unrivalled contribution to the literature for violin and piano.
